As Tenji continues to fight against Indra, the shinobi lose all hope against Indra's Susanoo army. They wonder if their efforts were completely useless and that they had no chance from the beginning. Hashirama, Yamamoto, Hiruzen, Shunsui, and Jushiro worries about the morale of the shinobi. Even Jushiro and Shunsui falter and Yamamoto scolds the two of them. Then, Naruto recalls back to their previous battles and tells the shinobi that they have come too far to give up. He tells them that they have gotten out of tough battles before and that they should not give up now. He tells them to think of their happy memories and asks them if they are ready to give everything up, including their memories and future. Naruto then recalls back to the time when the five kage met after the Fourth Shinobi World War. The kages decided to work together towards a better future. The other shinobi also begin to reminisce about their happy memories and about their friends and family. The morale of the shinobi begin to rise again and Naruto orders everyone to go forward to achieve their dreams.
